The pace of learning will require students to have the ability to dedicate time and energy to on-campus training, webinars, reading and homework, which includes practice treatment sessions during the two-year course of standard studies.
In order to graduate, students must complete all written home work, including practice healing sessions on a timely basis. Permission for late homework is given infrequently and only under certain circumstances. Students should plan for approximately 10-16 hours of reading, study and approximately 4-8 hours of homework and healing practicum time each month.
Rukha's curriculum is taught at the college level. The education provided is intended for the serious student who is dedicated not only to learning but also to personal growth and development. Applicants should understand that the Rukha education is rigorous and requires an interest in being involved in a true academic setting. Learning takes place through lectures, independent study, research, and writing papers.
Rukha's intention is to prepare individuals to be outstanding professionals in the field of energy therapy. In order to achieve such standard, the student will learn high-quality, effective healing modalities. The student will also be exposed to experiences that are intended to address psychological elements and promote greater self-actualization. This may include experiences that can be emotionally stressful or challenging.
The course may not be suitable for individuals who have poor coping abilities or those who are unwilling to participate in an honest and open manner in a group setting.
The on-campus training weeks have full and ambitious daily agendas.
Each day begins with breakfast at 7:30 A.M. and some days include evening lectures lasting until 9:00 PM.
Students must attend all lectures in order to graduate. On-campus instruction is critical. In order to graduate, students need to attend a minimum number of class days over the 2-year period. Refer to the on-line student catalog for details about the attendance policy.
If you have physical illnesses of a serious and/or chronic nature, you may be asked not to perform some healing skills. Please indicate any health concerns you have on your application.
In order to receive necessary school notices and complete home work, all students should have open and easy access to a computer and personal E mail.
